Jeremy and Courtney::Engaged

My engagement session with Jeremy and Courtney could not have been more ideal. Beautiful October day, adorable couple and just lots of plain ole natural fun. One thing I always like to encourage with my clients is just to enjoy each other during the photoshoot. Don't try to hard to pose or look a certain way, just enjoy the company of the person/people you're with and your pictures will turn out great. Jeremy and Courtney followed that instruction to a T. They just had so much fun together and I had so much fun with them. Here's some of our pictures from the day. Jeremy and Courtney, thank you so much for allowing me to capture the fun you guys have together!

Nick and Tori::Married

Some people just ooze awesomeness. Nick and Tori would be two of those people and I'm lucky to know them and I'm lucky to have gotten to photograph their wedding. Nick and I work together at Friday's and go anywhere in St. Louis, any restaurant and I guarantee you'll find either someone working or dining there who knows Nick. Most refer to him as St. Nick. He's the master of bar flair and can fill a bar in minutes with his great personality and you'll always have a great time with him around.

And his lovely wife Tori? Well, I couldn't have asked for a better bride. Laid back, fun, hilarious and willing to just let me be creative. Perfect. Tori and I click real well because we just love laughing and having a great time...plus it's an added bonus that she just happens to be one the most beautiful people to grace this planet. That's right Nick, you snagged a good one.

Nick and Tori's wedding day was nothing but fun, all.day.long. There's one thing about weddings with tons of people from the restaurant industry, we know how to have a good time. I mean it's practically our job to make sure people are constantly happy and having fun, so why wouldn't a wedding be that times a million. Besides being an absolutely fun day, it was a beautiful day, full of beautiful and totally rad people. That's right, I just used the word rad.

Nick and Tori, I can't thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful day in your life! Congratulations!

Mexican Sugar Skull Girls::Fashion Shoot

Don't get me wrong, I love shooting a beautiful wedding. In fact, in a short while I'll be posting some pictures from Nick and Tori's beautiful wedding on Saturday...

But I have a creative edge that I have to really get out every once in awhile. Halloween is one of my favorite times of years just for the sake of getting dressed up and being a kid again. I've been eyeing up this Mexican Sugar Skull style shoot for awhile and found some awesome girls at work who were willing to volunteer to be a part of my madness. I had to execute all the make-up myself but all in all everything turned out fantastic. It was such a fun shoot and the girls totally rocked it! One of my favorites to date...

Enjoy!

Casey and Jen::Anniversary

Casey and I work(ed) together and when she approached me about doing pictures for her and Jen's anniversary, I was thrilled. Casey has a spunk and attitude that I totally love. She's one of the cheeriest, quirkiest, most kind people I know and I couldn't wait to get out on that beautiful (albeit unseasonably warm) October day for their photoshoot. We went down to Lafayette Square, which is one of my favorite places for pictures and we had such a wonderful time. Here's just a few from that day!

Jen has such gorgeous blue eyes and how could you not be envious of Casey's beautiful red hair!

Sarah Speaks Easy::Studio Time

Sarah called me up and asked if I'd be interested in coming into the studio with her band and taking some fun candid shots while they recorded songs for their new album. It was such a fun time watching them work their magic and I feel bad that it's taken me so long to get the pictures up from that day, but life has been busy. I think I've finally managed my time well enough to schedule regular blogging, so be looking for a lot more. Until then, enjoy these pictures from the day!
